Only a few kilometers north from the Big Beach of Châtelaillon, there is the beach of Saint Jean des Sables south of the municipality of Angoulins. Bordered by the railway, this beach is divided in several zones. At the level of the parking (Sapinière path) several little sandy coves. South side, a long sandy beach stretches to the south to the center of Châtelaillon to join the main beach. Unusable at low tide (like all the beaches in the surroundings), it scales down a lot at high tide. It is necessary to know to aim the right moment for the bathe. Flat seabed so it is nice with children. Free parking but no special equipment. We prefer the beach of Châtelaillon …
