Our opinion on the Prévent Beach

Capbreton’s Prévent Beach is located near the city centre and along the promenade of the Beach Front. This sandy beach begins at the SPA hotel and ends at the lifeguard station, on the limit of Savane Beach. This is not the widest or the most untamed beach of Capbreton but its position of being close to the centre is interesting. Note that there is also a European centre of sports rehabilitation.

As often on the Atlantic Ocean, this beach is used by surfers. You can also practice windsurfing.

Before swimming, check the colour of the flag and make sure it is well supervised. Swimming can be dangerous (stormy seas).

There are some parking spaces along the hotel road (avenue Maréchal de Lattre de Tassigny.

This nice wide sandy beach also has a view to the entrance of the port of Capbreton.

Lifeguard station of Prévent beach in Capbreton

The lifeguard station is at the end of Prévent Beach (after the promenade) and Savane Beach.

At the end, access to the beach is not possible (rocks - see photo). Behind you can see Savane Beach with its dunes. The atmosphere is totally different on this beach.
