Our opinion on the Piste Beach
Capbreton’s Piste Beach is located south of the town centre after the Savane Beach. This area is composed of many bunkers from the war and artists come here to show their talents (see photos). This area is reserved for surfing or windsurfing, the waves are deemed conducive to these sports. However, bathing is strongly discouraged despite the presence of a lifeguard station.
To reach this beach, take Avenue de Biarritz, southbound. The entrance to the beach is located at the second street (rue des Chardons Bleus - no parking) or third street (chemin de la Mer - 100 parking spaces). Signs indicate the way.

Piste Beach is the first wild beach in the south of Capbreton.
In the foreground is one of the bunkers of Capbreton Piste Beach with many tags. In the distance, the harbour entrance.
On this beach, there are a few spaces without bunkers. The waves are violent. This area is reserved for more experienced surfers (especially if you go further south).

Access is built on the edge of the dune.
From the car park, access is via a paved road. Further down the road, the lifeguard station (open only in the summer).
