Cerbere’Peyrefite beach is on the outskirt of Banyuls-sur-Mer, north of the centre of Cerbere. This large pebble cove (about 200 meters long) is one of the most beautiful in the Pyrénées Orientales with a view of the Punta d'En Cames and another on the Cap Peyrefite. In the summer season, a lifeguard station is installed and it is equipped for the people with reduced mobility. In the background, you can see the vineyards of the Côte Vermeille.
To get to this beach from the centre of Cerbere, the easiest way is to follow D914 for 2.5 km then turn right towards the CMRRF Peyrefite (the municipal stadium). Continue on this small road and turn right following the signs to the underwater trail (you must pass under the bridge). There is a large carpark.
