At the Cap of Peyrefite, below the hospital, there are two small secret pebbly coves. The first, closest to the beach of Peyrefite, is very uncrowded. The second, directly overlooking the Cap of Peyrefite, is a bit more crowded (when we visited in August, there were a dozen people in the early afternoon). Both coves are made up of shingle and are frequented by the locals looking for a bit of peace and quiet in the full season.
To get to these coves, you can park in the car park of the Peyrefite Beach then take the coastal path which starts on the right.
