Our opinion on the Penn er Malo Beach
Guidel’s Penn er Malo Beach is an extension of Lannénec Beach (Ploemeur). If you put the beaches together there is about 2 km of fine sand with many leisure facilities. For the part of Guidel, the beach has a lifeguard station (open in July and August). Although the beach is equipped to accommodate people with reduced mobility, we believe that the Lannénec area is more easily accessible (provision of a tyralo). Outside the surveillance area, you can practice surfing.
Be aware, it is one of the busiest beaches of Guidel. In the high season, there can be up to 4000 people ... because of the several campsites in the area ...
To go to this beach from Larmor-Plage, take the coastal road to Guidel-Plage. The beach that interests us is at the exit of Fort-Bloqué.

Very large sandy beach which is shared with the town of Ploemeur (the limit is at the level of the Lannénec lake). In the distance, there is the Fort-Bloquéon the island.
North side, beautiful views of the coast of Finistère.
South side, the beach extends for over a kilometre. There is a second lifeguard station on the part of Ploemeur.
There are several carparks for this beach. You can also park along the road side.
