Our opinion on the Malfalcu Beach
There are several coves and sandy beaches in Cala di Malfalcu in a bay well protected from the winds in the desert of the Agriates, south of the mats of Ghignu. These are not the most beautiful beaches in the desert of the Agriates but they remain unfrequented (even the boats don’t come there). The ruins of the former Rothschild property is on the left, at the peak of Malfalco (Cavallare estate), which disappeared in the 70’s after an explosion. A few stones and eucalyptus plantations are the only reminder of the past.
Access to this cove is either through the coastal footpath (very long) or by the track leading to Ghuignu (branch off before reaching the mats on the left).
