Our opinion on the Ghignu Beach
Ghignu Beach is in the desert of the Agriates between Ile Rousse and Saint Florent. This is one of the most beautiful beaches in Haute Corse with 400 meters of sand bordered by a pond in the south and a large dune in the north.
Access is very difficult by land. A long 13-km track leads to the beach (impossible to access with a passenger car, one needs a raised four-wheel drive) on the D81 10 km after Casta towards Calvi. One can also take the coastal path (from 2:45 Saleccia, 8:15 and 6:30 from St Florent from Ostriconi Beach).

This is the best of Corsica: deserted beach, dunes (rare in Corsica), extra fine sand and crystal clear water. One can see the mountains of Cap Corse in the distance. However, access is very difficult, a beautiful beach must be earned!
