Hermitage Beach in Hyères is located northwest of the peninsula of Giens (at Almanarre Beach) in a typical area with many fishermen huts and small boats. There are many pontoons leading to the boats. The beach is very narrow, covered in sand and pebbles. The site is quite picturesque.
One can reach these small beaches from the port of Hyères by going in the direction of the Islands, and the Madragues on the peninsula. One begins to see many small boats on the right at the beginning of René de Knyff Avenue. There is no car park, one has to park along the road, and stairs lead to the various small beaches.
