The Big beach (Grande Plage) of the island of Aix extends on more than one kilometer on the west side of the island. It starts after the Sémaphore (after the door of the Anse de Croix) and goes along the Batterie de Tridoux (where we find toilets and showers), the battery of Bois Joly or the battery of Jamblet (which can be visited).
The south part of this beach is more reserved for swimming while the north part will delight fishermen on foot. On certain parts, sharp rocks can interfere with swimming.
Beware, this beach is not monitored.
Access is made by a pedestrian path and a bicycle lane at the south and a pedestrian path at the north. We will also have a nice view on Fort-Boyard from this beach.
To note that those beaches can take the names of beach of Tridoux or the beach of Jamblet (following the names of Batteries).
