Our opinion on the Central Beach
The main beach of Messanges is located 2 km from the centre of the resort in a green environment surrounded by the Landes forest. The untamed beach is supervised in the summer season and has a large free car park at the foot of the dune. In high season, there is a snack-bar as well as toilets and showers facilities. Naturism is tolerated on this beach but, in general, the naturists are not near the supervised area. Dogs are allowed provided they are on a leash.
From the centre of Messanges, follow the D82 (signposts for the Beaches) to visit this beach.

On the dune of Messanges’ centre beach (away from the city-centre). As for all the beaches of the Landes coast, it stretches as far as eye can see.
At the foot of the dune, there is ample free parking.
