Our opinion on the Central Beach
The central beach of Merville-Franceville is the main beach of the seaside resort. There is a rescue station open in summer (from mid-June to mid-September) and many activities for the youngest (inflatable structures, heated pool, mini-golf, rides, …). Nearby, there are some shops and a large free car park. The main part is bordered by a pleasant walk. Both ends are wilder with the appearance of a few dunes. The main part of the beach is non-smoking since 2015.
To get to this beach from Cabourg take the direction of Merville by the D514 then take the Avenue de Paris which leads directly to the parking.

We are on the main beach of Merville-Franceville. There is a help station (visible on the left) and a pleasant pedestrian promenade.
On the left the beach stretches for several hundred meters towards La Redoute and the mouth of the Orne.
On the right, you can reach the beaches of Cabourg (about 5km). The beach is very wide in this area.
Close to the beach, there is a large car park with a few shops and restaurants.
