Central Beach in Erquy - France

This very nice sandy beach is in the shape of a semicircle, but be careful because it is not monitored.

The right side of the beach is backed against the center and the shops. The typical village of Tu-es-Roc also overlooks it.

This beach is well protected from winds and swell, thanks to its relatively closed cove. The harbour is on the right in the background.

The relief protects swimmers from westerly winds.

Some areas of the beach shrink like grief skins at high tide.

Advice to enthusiasts! It seems that the waters are full of fish.

The south-facing village of Tu-es-Roc on the hills is the original village of fishermen. The view of the bay from its winding, flowery streets is great.

Younger people are not forgotten with a playground on the sand...

Erquy is a major port concerning fishing scallops. One can buy them at the fish auction or enjoy them in the many surrounding restaurants.

Breton boules (or petanque) are a popular activity throughout the year on the esplanade of the beach.

There are many shops and restaurants at the port.
