Our opinion on the Cenitz Beach
Cenitz Beach in Guéthary is shared with the beach of the same name in St Jean de Luz. This beach is therefore separated into two parts. The area next to Guéthary is relatively rocky with sandy areas. Because of the rocks, swimming can be dangerous. This beach is monitored in summer, in July and August.
A car park is available in Guéthary, down the road to Cenitz. There is also a restaurant with a beautiful terrace with a panoramic view of the ocean. Note that there are fewer rocks in St Jean de Luz.
This beach is the meeting point of surfers who seek the Atlantic rollers.

Straddling the municipalities of Guéthary and St Jean de Luz, the right part of this beach is rocky. Swimming can be dangerous.
The left end of this beach is located in the town of St Jean de Luz. It is less rocky.
The small path leading to the beach from the car park leads to the rocky area.
There is a restaurant on Cenitz Beach on the oceanfront. The views are spectacular.
