Port Leucate Beach stretches for over 2 km (from the mouth of the harbour on the right bank to the Roussillon Avenue) along a pleasant pedestrian promenade to serve the different sectors (that correspond to the 4 lifeguard stations). In our view, the different sectors are all very similar, the choice will be defined depending on your place of accommodation or which car parking best suits you. Note that there is very little traffic because the streets are pedestrianised (just access for parking). The lifeguard station n°3 (right of the “Miroir d’eau”) is equipped for disabled access. There is a private beach in the summer near the “Mirror d’eau” with restaurant and beach equipment for hire.
Note that this beach is not sheltered in windy conditions (frequent in the Aude).
