Lydia Beach in Port-Barcarès owes its name to the voluntarily beached ship located in its sand in the 1960s. It is one of the most famous beaches in Languedoc thanks to this boat where we find a casino and a discotheque. The beach spreads out on each side of the ship. The space is vast and is very agreeable since the road is not close by. There is a lifeguard in the summer. We find several private beaches and restaurants and mattress rentals, but public space is the majority. The beach is handicap accessible.
From the D83, you'll find access to this beach at exit number 14 and then take avenue du Paquebot. There is a large parking lot on the left side of the Gendarmerie.
