Nonza is a small village in Cap Corse 20 km north of the seaside resort of Saint-Florent. This former medieval platform with its defence tower overlooks the sea and the famous Nonza Beach covered in grey pebbles.
From the Genoese tower (accessible from the center of the village - 167 meters above sea level), it has a wide view over the sea on one side and over the wide grey Nonza Beach on the other. What a surprising contrast! One can also see the Gulf of St-Florent, Balagne and the mountains of Cinto.
On the way to the beach (staircase 50 meters from the center on the way to Pino - signs from the central square), one can go down to the fountain of Ste-Julie, which waters are known to be miraculous. The view is beautiful from this fountain.
