A small traditional village nestled in a small valley in the shape of a shell, Conca has an agreeable maritime facade only about twenty kilometers from Porto-Vecchio. Miniscule typical Corsican city, it is the departure or arrival point for several famous hiking trails and its church Saint-Etienne, edified in the 19th Century which was copied from Saint-Jean-Baptiste in Porto-Vecchio.
The superb beaches in Conca are what makes it so popular; they are among the most beautiful on the island. Favona Beach is more to the north, not far from Solenzara and Canella Beach. The most wild is Tarco Beach, bordered to the south by Figa Beach, a very small creek. The latter is covered by fine sand and stones depending on the winter storms! A small path allows us to easily access it. At Tarco, a small restaurant offers the possibility of tasting the local fish right on the beach. Its landscape is superb, between the Aiguilles de Bavella and a sand bay. Conca shares with its neighbor, Sainte Lucie de Porto-Vecchio, Fautea Beach.
