List of naturist beaches in Aquitaine - France

Naturism is strongly practiced in the Aquitaine region. Towns where naturism is prohibited are rare in the Landes and the Gironde regions. Generally, naturism is tolerated as soon as one moves out of monitored areas. On the other hand, one must be very careful because the coast’s strong currents are very dangerous and swimming is strongly discouraged.

However, naturism is in principle prohibited in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques region (on the entire Basque coast). There is only one area on a beach in Hendaye near the Spanish border where it is tolerated.
