Vergnes Beach in Meschers-sur-Gironde - France

At low tide, the beach is immense. In the distance, an isle with a fishing pier is accessible at low tide.

The views are unique at low tide. Pity that we soon find ourselves in the mud (bring boots to walk in).

The seafloor is flat in this zone. The sea retreats very far at low tide, swimming is impossible.

Some rock formations on the right side but collecting sea shells is prohibited.

Between cliffs and forests, we find this beach of Vergnes with its pleasant stretch of sand.

On both ends of the beach, there are restaurants as well as parking spaces.

The restaurant to the south with a view of the isle...

... and the restaurant to the north attached onto the cliffs.

Bordering the beach, some small sand dunes with a nice forest...

... the environment is completely preserved.

On the south extension of the beach, two other coves with a view of an ocean-colored fishing cabin.

On the right side of the cove we see the fishing pier.
