Troc Beach in Banyuls-sur-Mer - France

Our opinion on the Troc Beach

Banyuls sur Mer’s Troc Beach is the first cove out of the resort going towards Cerbères. Well hidden, this cove is best known by the locals and the residents of the nearby residential area. The setting is exceptional. This cove dug in the Côte Vermeille is quite narrow (less than 50 meters long) and is composed of pebbles and rocks. Beautiful view the Cape du Troc and also of the coast of Port Vendres (Cap Béar). Nearby, there is a health spa centre (roadside).

Access is difficult, if not impossible to find, if you are not from the area! Plages.tv is there to help you. From the port of Banyuls, follow the D914 for 600 meters and turn left at the Troc Pinell residential area (private property, there is a sign indicating the Troc). After the fence, take the direction for Cerberes, there is a pedestrian access by stepping over the low wall (but very dangerous in our opinion and impossible to park). The easiest way is to follow the road for 1 km then turn left on a dirt road (sign OTV). Near OTV, there are a few parking spaces. You can continue on the coastal path to the cove (600 meters).
