Our opinion on the Sternes Beach

South of Berck, near the water sports center, we find a little beach without a lifeguard along the Debeyre promenade. This beach is not very interesting to us. It is mostly used for sailing. To the left, we find a sort of natural pool (there is a dam which keeps some water at low tide) which is ideal for debutants as swimming is prohibited.

To the left, we find the bay of Authie (it is better to take the chemin des Pourrières where we find the departure point for the dune trails).

A large free parking lot is available as well as a parking area for camping cars. Access is simple from the chemin aux Raisins.

The beach in this area is very narrow … However, Debeyre promenade is very nice. We can easily join downtown Berck.

At high tide, the beach completely disappears.

Beach next to the water sports center of Berck

In the background, we can see the bay of Authie in Groffiers.

At the top of the dunes we can see the magnificent bay of Authie (agreeable walk in the dunes).

Leaving from the left of the parking lot, we arrive to the natural pool (a dam keeps water in at low tide, only used for water sports and ideal for beginners).
