Saint Cyprien Beach in the Gulf of Porto-Vecchio (or San Ciprianu Beach) is one of the most beautiful beaches in southern Corsica (not to be confused with the beaches of St Cyprien on the continent in the department of Pyrénées Orientales). It is located in the municipality of Lecci a few kilometres away from the private estate of Cala Rossa. This large sandy beach stretches for several kilometres in a protected bay where swimming is gently sloping. It is divided into two completely different areas on either side of the main car park in the centre of San Ciprianu.
The southern area is the most touristic area with many possible activities and several private beaches with restaurants. This area is supervised in summer and attendance is significant.
The northern area, which stretches along the ponds of Arasu, is wilder and unspoilt. There are no tourist facilities or surveillance area in this area.
From Porto-Vecchio (about 11km), follow the N198 then the N468 in the direction of Saint-Cyprien. At Saint-Cyprien, follow the shopping centre on the left then go in the direction of the beach car park to get to the boundary between the two areas of this beach (area with car park and shops).
To get to the area of the pond of Arasu, follow the D468 towards Cirindinu then after 700 meters turn right and follow the signs for Aroso La Mer and the tip of Arasu.
