Plouharnel’s Sables Blancs beach (White Sands in English) can be found right at the northern tip of Quiberon Bay (and south of Plouharnel Bay). Due to a lack of signposting this beach is frequented more by connoisseurs or those staying at nearby camping sites, than others. This beach does have its advantages (that could also be considered disadvantages, depending on the tide) : warm shallow waters; a natural, untouched setting despite the nearby camping sites, and a great place to go foot-fishing at low tide! For the sporty ones, you can also practice kitesurfing here.
To get here from Plouharnel follow the D968 to St. Pierre de Quiberon. Before reaching the Quiberon Peninsula, and roughly a 1 km (0.6 miles) after Mané Guen beach’s parking, take a left. Follow this small road past the level crossing until you reach the car park.
