Penthièvre Beach in Saint-Pierre-de-Quiberon is the first beach of the peninsula of Quiberon. It stretches across the continent in the town of Plouharnel, making it the largest beach of the peninsula (several kilometres of white sand). It is bordered by dunes (called la Falaise). This beach has a first aid station in summer. One can practice sand yachting, kite surfing and surfing. Note that this is the west coast; the ocean can be turbulent (the east side is more protected).
To get to this beach, take the D768 towards Quiberon. There is a car park on the left (at the level crossing) at the entrance of the peninsula, at the sign indicating Penthièvre. The beach is on the right (one must go back across the county road).
