Concarneau’s Sables Blancs Beach is the family orientated beach and one of the largest (500 meters long at low tide). It is supervised in July and August and activities for children are organized. The northern part is the most pleasant and the most popular. The southern part disappears at high tide. There is a sailing centre (equipment rental) and some shops nearby (restaurants, cafes, ...). Free parking near the beach. It can become crowded in high season (because of the nearby campsite). The beach is equipped to accommodate people with reduced mobility (near the lifeguard station). Dogs are not allowed.
To get to this beach from the port of Concarneau, the easiest way is to follow the seafront (Peneroff docks then La Croix then Wylie and Guillou boulevards).
