The beach of Porz an Illiz on the island of Batz is the sporting beach of the island, thanks to its nautical center which allows the internships and the hiring. It is embellished with two small sentinel beaches on either side, more peaceful. We note the presence of a cafe snacks which benefits from the frequentation of the beach but especially from the exotic garden Georges Delaselle, extraordinary in every way, because planted on the dune a century ago, it became despite the vicissitudes, a real little rainforest that will transport you, close to the beach, in the most refreshing tropical oasis.

On the right, it is a little more arid. We note in the distance the small adjacent beach of Porz Adelig. The name of « Porz an Illiz » means « church port ». Indeed, you can see the ruins of the Sainte-Anne chapel nearby.

The left of the beach is overlooked by the exotic garden. On the horizon, the coast of Roscoff.

The visit of the Georges Delaselle garden is really worth. From the aridity of the Breton beaches one passes to the equatorial luxuriance. Hundreds of species have taken more than a century to flourish on what was in 1910 a dune field. It is the work of a Paris insurer, in love with the island and aware of the opportunities offered by its microclimate.
