The beach of Porz-Kernok is the longest beach of the island of Batz : almost 500 m of sand in several portions more or less wide. And portions whose atmosphere varies. This beach is at the same time the closest to the small town and the port, but this vastness preserves some space of intimacy, even in season. Its fine and very white sand harmonizes nicely with the blue gray of the water of the port, whose waters are clean. We can still note a certain fishing activity, some gillnets but especially of caseyeurs because the seabeds are rich in lobsters and spider crabs. South, this beach has many assets and charm, even at low tide.
Attention no beach is monitored on the island, even this one.
None of the beaches of the island is « in principle » allowed to dogs, barbecues and naturists. In pratice, and given the many beaches and coves, the authorities turn a blind eye, as long as there is no excess. However, on this main beach of the island, it is better to abstain and book its shortcomings to principles for the small coves of the north.
