Porteil Creek in Argelès-sur-Mer is located to the south of this seaside destination, near Collioure. It is the most beautiful creek in Argelès-sur-Mer and the largest at 180 meters. On both sides of this creek we find other little creeks that are more or less accessible according to the seasons. These creeks are difficult to find, so follow our directions to the T!
To get to the creeks of Porteil, follow directions for Collioure from Argelès-sur-Mer, then take the corniche (D114). On your left, pass two hotels: Mouettes and Golf. On the left, you will see a little tunnel that passes under the train tracks. This is where to access the creeks by foot (they are only a few hundred meters from here). Continue about one hundred meters on the corniche and you will see a small parking lot on your left.
Continue toward the south and you will arrive to the beaches of Collioure. Note that Ouille Beach in Collioure is nearby.
