Ouille Beach in Collioure is located to the north of this little seaside destination, bordering Argelès sur Mer. This confidential beach is not listed in touristic guides or at the tourism office. It is mostly frequented by the locals or clients of the neighboring campgrounds. Composed of little stones, it extends over about 100 meters below the cliffs of the Cote Vermeille. Very calm in the middle of summer. However, there is no lifeguard here and it is difficult to park.
To get here from downtown Collioure, take D114 toward Argelès. At the edge of town, at the roundabout, take the first right toward camping la Girelle. The beach is indicated on the sign. After 100 meters take a left following signs for the campgrounds. As soon as you find a place, park. The easiest way to reach the beach is to the right of the entrance to Girelles campgrounds (signs say “access to sea” (accès à la mer) –no parking in this zone).
