Our opinion on the Phare Beach
Phare Beach in Le Crotoy stretches from the fishing port to the lighthouse opposite the Somme. It is the southernmost beach of the seaside resort. The environment is very pleasant with a view of the opposite bank, which stretches around the tip of Hourdel and Saint-Valéry-sur-Somme. Note that this beach is not monitored.
One must be careful when swimming because currents can be very strong. One cannot swim at low tide. The beach is mostly used for pleasure outings or to play.
Traffic in Crotoy is largely one-way. Follow the signs to the port. Access to the beach is via Leonard Quay.

This beach in Crotoy opens onto the Bay of Somme (visible on the left on this photo). One can see the coast around the Hourdel lighthouse opposite.
This beach stretches several kilometres to the north. It leads to the central beach of Crotoy. The beach is a big playground at low tide, but it is impossible to swim.
On the left, one reaches the fishing port of Crotoy. There are picnic tables with a beautiful view of the Bay of Somme.
This is the harbour entrance.
In this area, the beach is accessible by stairs at Leonard Quay.
It is quite difficult to park in this area. There is a car park at the docks.
