The seaside resort of Ault, located on the coast of Picardy, in the department of the Somme, is a peaceful haven with high chalk cliffs and pebble beaches.
It has an exceptional heritage, which attracts many tourists every year. For example, one can admire the Chapel of St. Edith in Bois de Cise, hidden in the heart of a lush nature, the Perroir, nicknamed the sunken city, the chapel of Notre Dame of Onival or the lighthouse of Ault, located 106 m above the sea.
There are several beaches in Ault. The biggest is the beach; it is also straddling the small town of Woignarue. 8 km long, it has playgrounds, beach huts and sports clubs. One can practice sand yachting. Shore fishing is also very popular, as well as strolls along the dam and horse riding, the perfect opportunity to discover the wealth of the resort. A real balcony opening onto the sea, Ault enjoys an exceptional location in the bay. The neighborhood of Bois de Cise hides a small valleuse in a less urban environment.
While enjoying a walk, one can also explore the Belle Époque and the early twentieth century villas with adorned and charming facades.
