Phare Beach (Lighthouse beach) in La Tranche sur Mer is located to the west of downtown. This large sand beach possesses high dunes in a preserved environment. We find a first aid station, open in the summer, only when the sea is high. Dogs are allowed outside of lifeguarding hours. This beach is a reputed spot for surfers and windsurfers. Note that we also find a few blockhous on this beach.
To get to this beach from downtown, take rue du Phare. The beach is located near the lighthouse (phare in French). We find a parking lot near impasse de la Youte. This beach has two entrance paths: numbers 146 and 147.
