Our opinion on the Grand Plage
La Faute sur Mer’s Grand Beach (Grand Plage) is the nearest beach to the resort city centre. It extends for several kilometres between the city centre and the casino up to the beaches of La Tranche sur Mer. This large sandy beach of La Faute sur Mer is supervised during the summer season. There are several accesses by stairs and some others by trails through the dunes.
Several car parks are available. They are free. It also has access for people with reduced mobility. However, you must take a path to reach the beach from the carpark (quite far).
The practice of sand yachting is regulated on this beach.
