Near the hamlet of Menounière (commune of St Pierre d'Oléron), there is a large sandy beach surrounded by beautiful dunes. Alas, in this part of the coast (north of the port of Cotinière), swimming is not easy because of the many rocks in the water. However, it is recommended for fishing, walking or sunbathing because the environment is pleasant.
To go to this beach from the port of Cotinière, take Avenue des pins then the Route des Grands Coutas heading north of the island. The road is parallel to the beach. There are several accesses (parking on the roadside).
