The only official beach of Ars en Ré is located south of this small village on the island of Ré around the tip of Grignon and the neighborhood of Grange. This small sandy beach is only practicable at high tide. At low tide, the sea (of Pertuis) is far away and there are many rocks, which makes swimming impossible (see photos).
To go to this beach from the center of Ars en Ré, take the D735 (Route de Saint Clement, several perpendicular roads lead to this beach (Route de la Pointe de Grignon or Rue de la Grange for example).
