Follies Beach in Couarde sur Mer on the Island of Ré is located at the village entrance and stretches to Le Bois-Plage-en-Ré. Dunes border this long sandy beach and there are few bunkers along it. At low tide, swimming is difficult because of the rocks. However, many people come here to fish.
To access this beach from Le Bois-en-Ré, turn left at the entrance to Couarde and then left again on rue Archenaud.
Note that this beach has a nudist area 200 meters long down Peu Bernard on the right (authorized area by the 2010 municipal decree). From Couarde towards Le-Bois, the path is on the right 500 meters beyond the village (the street before the campsites).
