Digue Beach is the most central beach in Sangatte. It extends along the dam promenade (not in very good shape) between the dunes and the beach where we find a few houses behind the dam and a great view of the sea. The beach is vast and everyone will find a spot to lay out his or her towel. However, there is no lifeguard.
There are several breakwaters, so you must be prudent when practicing water sports.
Note that this beach is uniquely accessible from stairs. The main access is found near the town hall and near a campsite called Les Noires Mottes.
