Our opinion on the Chatelet Beach
Chatelet Beach in St Jacut de la Mer, asuccession of south/south-east facingcoves, is ideally oriented for the first half of the day until mid afternoon. It is a little more shaded at night, which is not necessarily a disadvantage when it is hot, which sometimes happens in Brittany. It is sheltered from the northern winds thanks to the port of Chatelet and its many corners, and leads to the many other beaches on the peninsula
To get to this beach, go to the main street of the peninsula (Boulevard Rougeret) and turn right at the sign of the port and Châtelet Beach.

It is a family-oriented beach where regular visitors go and also the place where dinghies are stored for boats anchoring in the harbour.
The pier of the port provides shelter from the north winds.
This is not the bottom of the cove. The sea does not withdraw too far.
Intact environment and calm are guaranteed.
Nooks and crannies give privacy.
However, one must sometimes go and find water on the other side of the pier to swim.
