Basse Benaie Beach in Sainte Marie de Ré is located near the village center and next to the municipal campsite. It stretches over several coves (about 400 meters). It is not possible to swim on the beach of the Wild Coast at low tide because of the many rocks near the edge. However, it is nice for shore fishing. There is also a fish lock.
To reach this beach from the center of Sainte-Marie, take rue des Francs Tireurs then turn left onto Rue de la Tour. Turn right at the end of it, there is a car park next to the campsite.
