Arene Beache in Cassis is located at the east of downtown and at the foot of Cape Canaille. Little known, this rocky beach is little frequented. The surroundings are beautiful with pines and vineyards nearby. Since there are many rocks, swimming is not so easy here. However, this beach is reputed for diving and underwater fishing. On the left (at the bottom of Cape Canaille) there are a few secret beaches (could be dangerous due to falling rocks; some nudists come here as well).
From downtown Cassis follow the direction of Cape Canaille. After the stadium go 300 meters and take the path on the right after the vineyard (careful, by car the last 50 metes are going the opposite direction on a one-way street – parking must be paid in the lot found on the left). We arrive on a little free parking lot (about 20 places – to get here, come from the route des Cretes). We descend to the beach by a stairwell.
