The seaside town of Sausset les Pins is one of the most important of the Blue Coast. Located near Carry le Rouet, it is difficult to differentiate between the two resorts although the difference can be determined by the beaches. Sausset les Pins beaches are largely composed of pebbles whereas Carry le Rouet beaches are sandy.
The seafront between Sausset les Pins and La Couronne is beautiful. There are small bays with beaches which are sheltered from the wind.
Sausset les Pins is also an ideal base to discover the Blue Coast. By car or by train (the blue train stops in Sausset les Pins, Carry le Rouert, Ensues La Redonne, Niolon and Marseille), this coast hosts a few wonders of this Martigues county with small secret coves only accessible by hiking trails and small fishing ports with sheds that have become holiday homes.
