It is in the department of Calvados, on the Côte Fleurie, that we have the small village of Pennedepie. This charming village, situated in border of the Baie de Seine and not far from Honfleur, is surrounded by the nice Bois du Breuil and it symbolized by its fortress-like church. It would have been built by the Knights Templar although its construction seems even older, surrounding the area of mystery and attracting visitors in numbers.
The village is famous for its multiple hiking paths who attracts many walkers and allows to discover for example the cider house of the Estate of Apreval whose reputation is well established. The Forest has some treasures, like many beeches 150 years old and wild rhododendrons ; the different circuits allow to join Honfleur, between sea and forest.
The vast beach of Pennedepie is considered quiet and calm, and the sunsets among the most beautiful of the region. The animated port and the typical Norman houses adds to the charm of this village. The municipalities of Cricqueboeuf, Villerville or also Equemauville have to be seen and are only at a few kilometers away.
