Between Kairon-Plage and the town centre of Saint-Pair-sur-Mer, on both sides of the mouth of the Thar, there is the beach called Thar. Swimming is prohibited throughout the year due to strong currents and sand movements. However, dogs are allowed there ... maybe not for swimming? The area is reserved for water sports with a launching area near Kairon for water skiing, jet skiing, windsurfing ...
Kairon side, you can reach the beach by the Boulevard de la Mer. St Pair side, there is free parking along the main road.
