Salins Beach is located near the dike of the port of Embiez (north side of the island). This is the only sandy beach in the island (the others are more a mixture of sand and gravel). The view is nice on the continent but the beaches are in our opinion not very interesting because it is a shame to come to an island and not take advantage of the wild beaches (one is too close to the city centre and the port).
To get to this beach from the port, go north in the direction of the Oceanographic Institute. The beach starts at the end of the port, on the left. There are some little more discreet coves on the left.
