Our opinion on the Lido de la Marana Beach
Lido de la Marana Beach in Borgo is the wildest beach near Bastia. Located in a protected natural site with the pond of Biguglia in the background, this large sandy beach stretches in the middle of small dunes. Pleasant trails wind through the dunes and lead to the beach. On the left, the view of the bay of Bastia and the neighbouring mountains is nice.
To access this beach from Bastia, take the road of the Lagoon (road that circles the pond of Biguglia). Go past the hamlet of Pineto and the locality of Les Sables de Biguglia. Then there are several accesses on the left identifiable by wooden fences restricting height access.

It is a beautiful sandy beach in the protected area of Lido de la Marana overlooking Bastia in the middle of small dunes.
In the south, this beach stretches several hundred meters towards Marana de Lucciana Beach (from the latter, one is back to civilization).
One can access this beach by walking on nature trails through the nature reserve.
There are several small car parks along the road.
From the main road, one can recognize the different beach accesses by the fences one can see in this picture. Behind it, there is a free car park.
