Borgo is a small Corsican village located fifteen kilometres from Bastia, in the plain of Marana. The old village is located on a rocky promontory overlooking the sea. One can admire many islands including those of Elbe, Pianosa and Montecristo. The old schist houses are charming but the beaches of Borgo attract tourists. There is indeed more than 10 km of coastline, some of which is located on the protected area of the pond of Biguglia. The lagoon bar of the Marana is a very touristic natural area, a small paradise for several seabird species and which allows for the practice of many sports. Cyclists particularly enjoy the track created for them along the D107 road from the Lido, an intact natural and protected area at the entrance to the largest wetland in Corsica.
The church of the Annunciation dating from the seventeenth century and the Campanile of Saint Appiano overlooking the village are sights not to be missed but there are only a few ruins, specifically its two bells classified as historic monuments.
