Locmariaquer’s Grande Plage Beach is located by the ocean between Er Hourel and Kerpenhir points next to the dolmen of Pierres-Plates. In a green surrounding with a view of the entrance of the Bay of Morbihan, it is a beautiful sandy beach. Swimming is not very easy at low tide but is possible. There are several stairs to access the beach.
To go to the beach from the city centre, take the direction of La Trinité sur Mer via the “rue de la Plage” and at the roundabout turn left, following the signs for Pierres Plates (Route de Kerere). The road becomes one-way. When it joins the seafront, there is free parking on the right.
