Located to the south of downtown, Grand Large Beach in Canet-Plage is the only beach labeled as handicap accessible. It is found near the parking lot of Cote Vermeille, and to the south of the casino and the sea theatre. The beach is long and sandy with several private areas with mattress rentals and restaurants. We also find play areas for children near the mini golf course (where swimming is prohibited, for the area is reserved for windsurfing). The lifeguard station is open in the summer.
This beach is accessible from avenue de la Cote Vermeille. We find a large paying parking lot across from avenue du Grand Large on the seafront.
