Our opinion on the Central Beach
Central Beach in Canet en Roussillon is located near Place de la Méditerranée, next to the Theatre de la Mer and the casino. It is the closest beach to the animated part of Canet and we find several activities here in the summer, day and night. On one side we have a view of the dam and on the other is the Pyrenees.
The beach is located at the end of the promenade on the Cote Vermeille going toward the south. We find a parking lot at Espace Méditerranée but you must pay. It is very difficult to find free parking in Le Canet in the summer (there are a few in the little streets).

Here is the main beach in Canet that extends from one part to the other of Place de Méditerranée where we find several activities in the summer. In the background is the harbor dam.
From this beach, looking toward the south, in the background are the Pyrenees. This beach is rather crowded in the summer since it is located downtown.
We are at Place de la Méditerranée at Canet en Roussillon. We find several cafe terraces.
We also find the Casino du Canet, to the left in the photo.
On the right we have a nice view of the beach and the Pyrenees.
